The perfect complement after laser tattoo removal is rejuvenation using dermal fillers Juvederm and Juvederm Ultra XC.
Why not further enhance your appearance by participating un my anti-aging program. A simple multi modal program that includes dermal fillers such as Juvederm and the painless JuvedermUltra XC, Juvederm Ultra Plus XC to fill age related wrinkles and folds.
Dermal fillers are a class of agents used to fill wrinkles and folds in the skin surface. Modern fillers are produced with varying chemical composition which is the basis for not only their depth of injection but the duration of their effect.
In 2010 the FDA approved Juvederm XC which has a local anesthetic mixed into the syringe. My patients have given it the nick name XC for Xtra Comfort.
The injection location, volume and amount of motion in the area all affect the duration however often results pass the one year mark!
You will have a smooth, natural look and feel—so everyone will notice (but no one will know)!
Why are the Hyaluronic Acid fillers preferred as opposed to “permanent” fillers?
How long do the effects of dermal fillers last?
The duration of dermal fillers like Juvederm, Juvederm Ultra XC makes them one of the best values in the rejuvenation arsenal. The average patient notices improvement for 8-9 months and depending on the site injected and the filler used can easily go on for over a year!
How do these fillers work?
Juvederm is a clear very firm but mouldable gel with a physical structures
of a 3-D lattice network. Similar to a series of cages lined up one after another.
The nature of these fillers is to attract and hold onto water. The initial smoothing
and filling of a wrinkle is simply from the filler being injected just below the
skin. The secondary results are noticed in the days following when the absorption
of water takes place. This combination of filling plus hydration leads to the long
term effects enjoyed by modern HA fillers like Juvederm and Juvederm XC.
What preparation is required?
After the initial consultation there is no specific preparation necessary. Juvederm is premixed in a sterile syringe. If you prefer a potent local anesthetic can be applied to the area about 20-40 minutes before the injection but I find that the vast majority tolerate the injections without any topical anesthetic. We have found that ice applied after the injection removed a lot of the sting and decreased or averted the bruising occasionally seen after HA injection.
The picture above show a all of the areas that have been injected with fillers. However, not all of them are FDA approved but very commonly done. At the current time the only area FDA approved for clinical safety is the Nasolabial folds. Fortunately, that is the most common area requested for injection.
